Top Ten Tuesday (4)

toptentuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s list features the Top Ten Characters You Just Didn't Click WithAnd not clicking with means characters that I hate, right? HAH. I have only hated a few, which kept me from connecting with them. So this week's list is shorter than 10.

  1. Dani Ruiz from The Do Over by A.L. Zaun. I thought Dani and I would click because she prefers book boyfriends to real boyfriends, too, but really when she finally meets a nice guy, she's super immature. I just couldn't deal with it.
  2. Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter from The Perfect Game by J. Sterling. Now, I know this is two characters, but I just disliked them and their decisions so much that I couldn't even bring myself to finish the series--and I never will. They are just not good for each other, IMO.
  3. Ally Ryan & Jake Graydon from the He's So/She's So trilogy by Kieran Scott. Again, multiple characters from one series, and my opinion is probably not the popular opinion. They were just full of immaturity and drama. The second book pissed me off so much that I wanted to throw it, and I will never finish this trilogy either.
  4. Mia Kelly from Sweet Thing by Renee Carlino. Mia was pretty cruel and unfair to Will--kind of a tease and immature.
  5. Ellie Barnett from According to Jane by Marilyn Brant. An interesting (which really means boring) connection to Pride and Prejudice. Ellie and I just didn't click--no particular reason for it other than I couldn't connect with her.
  6. Vanessa Roberts from Undressing Mr. Darcy by Karen Doornebos. Another novel inspired by Pride and Prejudice, and another heroine that was just kinda ehhhh.
  7. Lizzie Hampton from Worth the Weight by Mara Jacobs. Just no. No. I just couldn't get behind Lizzie's awful way of thinking about herself at all. She's a little bitchy and shallow.

So, that's a bigger list than I expected to come up with! I'm sure there are more that I just blocked out of my mind, which is a sad thought. Anyways, that's it for this week's TTT!
